Addiction Treatment and Substance Abuse
The Clearing’s unique Spiritual Psychology residential treatment program is especially suited to addiction treatment and drug abuse recovery as well as other addictive behaviors, including alcohol abuse, gambling addiction, and screen addiction. As a 12 steps alternative, we teach Participants to address and heal core issues that lead to addictive behavior.
Alcohol abuse is the recurring use of alcoholic beverages despite the negative consequences. After clinical detox, many people enter traditional 12 steps programs. You may have tried to work the 12 step program and feel it didn’t work for you. Don’t be too hard on yourself, it doesn’t work for everyone.
Substance and drug abuse occurs when the user consumes controlled substances in amounts or with methods neither approved nor advised by medical professionals. Be it cocaine, heroine, Demerol, Oxycontin, or other pain killers, the result is the same: after the fix, there is helplessness and desperation.
Compulsive gambling is the uncontrollable urge to continue gambling despite the toll it takes on your life. If you’re prone to compulsive gambling, you may continually chase bets, lie or hide your behavior, and resort to theft or fraud to support your gambling addiction.
Addicted? To a screen? It’s 2013 and yes, this is a very real area of addiction. Phones, computers, social media outlets and more are just a few of the screen addictions which can manifest themselves in our lives.
