Partnering to Provide Comprehensive Care and Life Changing Outcomes
We work with addiction treatment and mental health professionals on joint care for their patients.
Many of our participants have tried and failed with traditional 12-step programs. We run an intimate, retreat-style intensive program with a focus on dual diagnosis. We've successfully treated people suffering from addiction and mental health issues, including:
- Substance abuse
- Depression and Anxiety
Your patient will:
- be encouraged to return to you following treatment for after care
- be more comfortable in their self discovery process,
- be better at accessing deeper levels of emotional hurt,
- be able to work their own issues around projections, judgments, limiting beliefs and emotional aspects between sessions going forward,
- have a deeper awareness that what they are feeling is theirs to heal
"Choosing to go to The Clearing has been one of the best things I’ve ever done. I am happy to sing your praises and share what a wonderful place you all have created."
Our Unique Approach to Addiction Treatment
In designing our program, we started with a blank piece of paper. We focused on creating a program that would provide the best opportunity for our participants to heal the underlying core issues that were limiting their lives. We refused to compromise that program in order to fit any existing model or any pressures from insurance.
We experientially teach our participants counseling skills, strategies and concepts that allow them to identify their underlying issues and heal them. We give them a set of tools that can be used for the rest of their lives.

80%+ Success Rate. No Kidding.
Each month, we check in with our graduates by phone, email and text to see how they are doing and see if there is anything we can do to support them. A byproduct of this activity is that we are able to track their success. More than 80% of our graduates tell us they're living a life free of their addiction.
We attribute this success to our non-12 step, dual diagnosis approach (the only such 28-day program in the Northwest), and our unique Cohort-based experience (the only such format in the country, as far as we know). The result is a life changing intensive retreat that is dramatically different from traditional rehab.
"I wanted to send you a special note of thanks. I have my daughter back again!"
After Care: The Key to Long Term Success
We have a very strong aftercare program that relies on partnering with therapists and counselors. When our graduates leave they are standing tall, feeling good, feeling clear and confident and why shouldn’t they be? They just spent a month with us and all the tools and habits that we have instilled with them. The key to real success is taking all these tools and habits and installing them in their life away from The Clearing.
In order to make sure this happens, we stay heavily involved in their lives for AT LEAST the next ten weeks after they leave us. We recommend to our participants that they involve in this process their counselor or therapist, if they have one, for a seamless and coordinated transition.
Word is Getting Out
We've now worked with people from 23 states and Canada. We're getting referrals from therapists across the country and an increasing number of medical detox programs are finding and referring prospective participants to us.
Our graduates and their families are spreading the word about us. Here are what some of them are saying:
- "They helped me overcome my struggles and discover who I truly am behind all of my layers…."
- "There are no words to express our gratitude, please know that it comes from deep within our hearts…"
- "Choosing to go to The Clearing has been one of the best things I’ve ever done. I am happy to sing your praises and share what a wonder place you all have created."
- "I wanted to send you a special note of thanks. I have my daughter back again!"
We look forward to working with you.
